I don’t know whether to be excited or saddened by the fact that you emphasized that this was done “in church.” I suppose you mean the body of Christ and not a building or a meeting, and that’s indeed a thing to celebrate, that is, seeing God’s people express their worship to him in dynamic ways. God is much more expansive than any creative endeavour we can envision, and I hope that creative expressions of his love and likeness in us reach far beyond a particular meeting to infiltrate every fibre of our lives. Cool stuff!

I suppose I meant both church gathering places and the Body of Christ. I’m excited to see this level of refreshing, creative performance in a church gathering. Imagine if people went to church to see the most creative, inspiring art being made? Of course, even this dream of local churches as centers of creativity is only part of the equation of a New Renaissance in the arts. As you said, we want His creative expressions of love and kindness to flow through us, beyond a particular meeting, and bring light to the world. Thanks for your comment, Matte.
